WELCOME TO WALKIE TALKIE!
A while ago we held a competition to name our Walking Bus newsletter (previously imaginatively called the Walking Bus newsletter!). The winner was Karen Furzeman who walks with one of the four Walking Buses at John of Rolleston Primary. Her suggestion was apparently inspired by a joke in a Christmas cracker - "What do you get if you cross a centipede with a parrot?" The answer - WALKIE TALKIE!!!
Things have moved on and we have since decided that compiling and printing our 20 page newsletters is not the best use of our resources. Hence this online monthly version of Walkie Talkie which we hope will keep you up to date on a much more regular basis. As always, please send us details on what you are up to so we can tell everyone about it!
We have also decided to finally give our Walking Bus character a name, after 11 years! The character is now called BUZZ. We plan to make Buzz more of a feature in the resources that we produce.
