Pass Plus Extra

Background
Statistics show us that new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years after passing their test.
This is due to a number of factors, lack of driving experience, mismatch between confidence and ability and the fact that young people all too often do not foresee the dangers that an experienced driver might see. Pass Plus therefore aims to reduce this risk developing your awareness, anticipation and planning skills.
Pass Plus
Pass Plus costs less with your Council.
Staffordshire County Council has developed Pass Plus Extra, a scheme aimed at encouraging a greater take-up of Pass Plus by providing financial support in the form of a subsidy, meaning that taking Pass Plus is now very affordable.
In order to obtain a subsidy, newly qualified drivers must first register with their Council. The next stage will be to attend an informative two-hour workshop after which they will qualify for a substantial reduction in the cost of taking the Pass Plus.
Workshops are scheduled at regular intervals throughout the region and the practical sessions must be taken with a Council registered Approved Driving Instructor.
